Sync conflicts between devices
Quick answers
- What happens if two devices change accounts before syncing?
- Cloud Sync merges the changes automatically now. There's no conflict step for you to resolve. A manual sync on each device usually settles anything that still looks off.
Cloud Sync resolves conflicts automatically now. If two devices changed accounts before syncing, the app merges them without asking you to pick a winner. If something still looks off, a manual sync on each device usually settles it.
Symptom
"My accounts look different on two devices" / "sync isn't matching up."
Why this happens
Auto Sync runs whenever you add, update, or remove an account, and you can also start it by hand, so two devices can sometimes make changes before either has synced. Conflict handling used to make you pick a version. That step has been removed, and it's automatic now.
Fix
- Tap the Sync button (top right of the home screen) on each device to force a fresh sync.
- Make sure all devices are on the latest app version.
- Give it a moment. Sync needs your network connection and the cloud service (iCloud or Google Drive) to be reachable.
- If an account still looks wrong after syncing, correct it by hand. The correction syncs out to your other devices.
If that didn't work
Contact support with the account name and what looks different on each device.
